Gifts. What do you give a vegan during the holidays???
I thought I’d do something new this year. I’m sharing ideas for vegan and plant-powered gifts! Not just tangible gifts, but also gifts of love, which is where I begin…
For the Love of Vegan – Giving Back
I once thought that would be a cool title for one of my cookbooks. Still do. Wait, has it now been used for a vegan cookbook? I have no idea. One sentence in and I’ve already digressed! My first gift idea is inspired by beautiful vegans doing beautiful work for animals, at…
Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary
I met some of the folks of Cedar Row at London VegFest last month. This sanctuary began in 1999, and is one of the oldest farm sanctuaries in Ontario. A family-run operation, they have rescued thousands of animals over the years. Talking to them at VegFest, I was humbled by how tirelessly they work for these animals. The founder, Siobhan, started the sanctuary – get this – while pregnant with twins. Bless her. Another shocking fact: apparently they get so many requests to accept potbellied pigs, and they cannot accommodate them all.
When I returned from VegFest I told the girls all about Cedar Row. We went on their website to look at some pics. Hope, our 7 year old, fell in LOVE with Cromwell. I read his story and she immediately sobbed, saying “his soft little body”. I wasn’t expecting that, and told her we would help support Cromwell and his friends. She then drew a picture of him which I shared on IG.
This little guy was separated from his mother at just 3 weeks, only to be given up after a day and a half. Sad and unnecessary. Thankfully he now has a very good home. I have great admiration for people that devote their time and lives to this work. Their work is hard – physically and emotionally. I’ve supported Cedar Row this year, and invite you to do the same. Any donation would be appreciated. Also, animals can be sponsored monthly or annually! Please consider. ♥
Vegan Merchandise and Food
Sick On Sin
Sick On Sin creates creative, fun designs so you can spread the vegan word through t-shirts, magnets, buttons, and stickers.
As a giving effort, Sick on Sin also designed a Piggy Love button to support Cedar Row! Jen and her husband also created my weegan design! When I was at VegFest, I met Jen after several years of knowing one another online. Such a treat, she is salt of the earth goodness. I also picked up this tee for my own weegan. She loves it! So, wear your vegan love or pick up some gifts for a vegan you love!
Want to try some of the new vegan products on the market but they aren’t in your local store?
Vegan Supply is your source! This company started right here, out of Vancouver, BC, but ships worldwide. Stock up on goodies you want, or pick up a gift card for the vegan you love!
I just created a new “stuff a squash, not a turkey” apron. Wear your vegan message while cooking! Some other items vegans you love might love: vegan mug, vegan tee, #hummusisafoodgroup tee or apron,
Plant-Powered Vegan Necklace
A couple of months ago I partnered with Christy Robinson to create this new, exclusive Plant-Powered Vegan necklace!
I wear mine pretty much every day, I love it so. See? Somehow I feel even more connected to living vegan wearing it. I love when someone inquires about it, and I can talk excitedly about how I’ve been vegan for 20 years! Available in recycled sterling silver and aluminum, see more here.
Vegan Makeup, Skincare, and Fashion
I have a simple makeup routine, and don’t have a vast makeup collection. I keep returning to elf because it’s very affordable – and entirely vegan (including the make-up brushes).
It’s no fun spending money on a new lippy only to find the color or texture is just not what you thought. When it’s not too pricey, you can experiment a little more, or just keep returning to your favorites. Plus, their product line is available at most stores (drugstores, groceries, etc) as well as online. Convenient, vegan, affordable all in one! File under: Stocking Stuffers! Sidenote: Only now when linking to their site did I clue in that elf stands for eyes lips face. Oh my. Shall we move on?
I mentioned OSEA in this post, and I’m still trying and loving new products. I just want to bathe in it all!! Clean, vegan, high-quality skincare products.
I bought one this Ecosusi bag a couple of months ago to use for a laptop case. It’s so stylish and yep, faux leather! Recently I was at Starbucks doing some work and a woman approached me asking about my bag. For sure I was enthusiastic to share the brand and that I picked it up for a great price on amazon. p.s.: The folks at Ecosusi are awesome, stay tuned for a giveaway!
Every Man Jack
What about the boys? I’ll tell you, shopping for my husband is the worst. Most years I buy him staple clothes and stocking stuffers. Yeaaah. Exciting. About a year ago I discovered Every Man Jack deodorant. It’s a more natural deodorant and their products are not tested on animals. Recently I found more of their product line – shaving cream, body wash, and more! So I at least have some stocking stuffers. #ohmy!
Like e.l.f., the Every Man Jack line is available at drugstores and large retailers. If you want to order online, here are the amazon listings. p.s. Please share some of YOUR ideas for men that are difficult to shop for!
Gifts for the Cook
GoWISE Air Fryer
I don’t have an air fryer – yet. Santa may have to deliver this one to me! I’ve heard enough about air fryers that it’s on my list. Do you have one? If so, share what you love to cook?
This GoWISE model is a popular one, and currently a smokin’ deal on amazon. Readers have mentioned Philips is also popular.
I do have this appliance, and get good use from it. I still use my oven and stovetop for certain cooking purposes, but love having an IP. I’ve been developing recipes with the Instant Pot, so you’ll see more here!
If you have and use kitchen shears, you’ll love scizzas. Scissors for pizza = scizzas! I bought mine many years ago and love them. Far easier to use than a pizza wheel, and older kids can easily use them.

Cookbooks / Books
If you missed my post last week, my new Oil-Free Dressings ebook is available. Many of the dressings would work beautifully for holiday dinners and potlucks, like the 24 Carrot Dressing and the Creamy Ranch. (The $7.00 ebook bundle is also still available until the end of the year.)
For those preferring print, consider gifting Plant-Powered Families or pre-ordering The Cheese Trap!
What are some of your favorite vegan gifts? Please add your ideas in the comments. Especially for husbands. 😉 Also, I REALLY want to order myself some exquisite vegan truffles this Christmas. Suggestions?
Merry, merry Christmas my friends. Love to you all… D.

So many good things on this list! I definitely need some new cosmetics for my next vacays. Thanks for sharing the post!
This is such a great resource Dreena! I love the apron 😀
Great gift ideas! I’m with you, OSEA is the BEST! I’ll never use another beauty product.

I might just leave this page open on my husbands Ipad as a big fat hint…..I would be more than happy with anything on the list, except the men’s toiletries – he can keep them!

This is such a fun list! I was giggling at the scizzas. I had no idea elf was a vegan line and so cheap, too! For truffles, I really love Dear Coco. Not sure if they ship to Canada though!
Sophia | Veggies Don't Bite says
Love the collection Dreena! You know I’m in love with OSEA already, such a great line!
Great list! I just ordered this belt for husband. Another vegan site had it listed as a holiday gift. Life is a little more casual here in Oregon, so I am hoping it will be a winner. 🙂
Oh I REALLY like that belt, Kat. I think my husband would like it too – in fact, *I’d* like one for jeans. Off for another look – thanks for the idea!
update on the belt: My husband LOVES it! He said it is his favorite Christmas gift! And thank you for the heads-up on the Every Man Jack. My husband and son love their products now. 🙂
There are so many great gifts on this this list! I’m hoping Santa brings me a few of them!
Santa needs to treat us ALL!!
Such an amazing and heartfelt list you’ve compiled, Dreena. Definitely a few things on here for my list. 🙂
Thanks Don, I still need to find some decadent chocolate truffles though! Preferably boozy ones. 🙂

Wow, what an awesome gift roundup! I’ll take one of each please! That bag is really pretty, too.
Thanks Brandi! I love the bag, and the color is a little different from what I typically buy.
So many good things on this list! I have an Instant Pot & air fryer on my wish list, and after reading your post, I added those pizza scissors too. Our rolling pizza cutter is a perpetual pain. Also, that bag is super cute, and you can’t beat the price!
Oh, I think you’d love the scizzas, Cadry! One of the best kitchen gadgets I have, I never found a pizza wheel very useful. Merry Christmas!!
Becky Striepe says
Oh my gosh, that bag is gorgeous. And I can vouch for the awesomeness of air fryers and the Instant Pot. We use ours every day.
K, I’m having a word with Santa about that air fryer!!
