Today is the official anniversary of the release of Plant-Powered Families! I’ve never celebrated the anniversary of a vegan cookbook before, but doing so this time.
I’ve connected with so many of you here and through our PPF community over the past year. When I was writing the book, I truly felt it was special. I had hoped it would reach families all over, and at all stages of eating a plant-based diet, to help encourage and support their journey.
With all the cheer and kindness you’ve sent my way, I feel this book really is helping families eat more vegan meals, and truly enjoy healthy, abundant vegan food.
So, I celebrate you and this book with a giveaway!
Enter below to win this prize pack!…
- copy of Plant-Powered Families
- copy of The China Study
- copy of The China Study Cookbook
- a NEW #hummusisafoodgroup tshirt (or vegans do it better tee if you prefer)
To enter, please share your favorite recipe from Plant-Powered Families… or one you are excited to try!
Also, if you want to celebrate with me, I’d appreciate your kind words on amazon. Thanks!
Good luck, and thanks for your support.

Ever since me and my family became vegan I have tried a LOT of your amazing wonderful recipes! Every time I make something new my kids object, but I won’t bend and they all LOVE the food I can make because of YOU!
The latest recipe I tried was the sweet potato chocolate cake and BOY!!!!!!!!! This is THE hit in the house! Also all my non-vegan friends and family love your food. Some even also wanted the recipes and are now eating more plant based foods.
I would be so happy with your book and the China study. Wanted to read that book for a long time now to improve my health.

I love so many recipes, but the spinach artichoke dip is my absolute favorite! I’ve taken it to several parties and it has been a big hit with the omnivores there too. You’d never guess that it’s plant-based.

I just checked this book out at my library today! My family and I have been following the Paleo diet for a few years now, but my oldest daughter has expressed an interest in Veganism, and I’ve been toying around with the idea as well. I figured this book would allow me to test the waters and see if it’s something we feel we can do. We already have several recipes bookmarked to try in the coming weeks! Owning a copy of this book would be most helpful, as there’s only the one book in circulation at my library…. I can only renew it so many times. 😉

I LOVE the Nicer Krispie Squares. These are so popular with my family and they are my go-to recipes for taking to the teen events my son attends with friends. They are always eaten up and I love that this is a lower refined-sugar option for the kids.

you have done such a fun fabulous job on eating plant base and including your family in that it has made transitions to me and family great. I have made that sweet potato chocolate cake and served it numerous times and love the awe and shock factor it provides. Great tees by the way. And your suggestion of Meet on Main (I went to visit the one in Gastown) is brilliant. You have my own bar of creativity in food high and I love it. Keep blogging, sharing and having a ton of fun with it

Not only for the fabulous family friendly recipes, but because it is a great resource book for families with children transitioning to vegan lifestyle, or even for long-time vegan families too!
