Few notes from the video:

I’ll keep it short today. I have a whole lotta’ house to clean up here. Been a busy week with wee girl’s birthday party and getting ready to for the book launch.
My gratitude, once again, to all of you for your support and community over the years. And, my thanks to the incredible team at BenBella Books for helping me bring this book to print. <3

Dear Dreena, thank you for the book and easy recipes for kids as we have four on plant-based diet for the last two years! It is a great help as we are very busy family – outdoor sports and always trying to pack our own food . Just to mention, I tried your delicious french toast recipe, and yes you were right – it is a sticky event , so in the middle of my struggle I decided to broil them in the oven. They came out really great!

My Hausband AND I borrowed Forks Over Knives from our local Library here in Austria, Europe Last Week and, though we already barely ever have meat we are big in dairy and the movie made us aware of the dangers! We had noticed in the past that our now nine year old often started having a hard time hearing in winter when she had cow milk and I also stopped consuming cow milk two about two years ago while nursing our youngest because of his sensitive skin and I just happened to notice how much better his skin was when I left out cow milk. Well, with four kids and eating quite whole food and healthy really most of the time, I stumbled upon your site via Pinterest and also realized this new book is by you. I really need Go- to recipes. Do they use lots of local products? Local and seasonal is important to me as far as possible…. That is my problem with going totally vegan because of all the exotic things like bananas, coconut, agave, avocados, dates, even many nuts (and since I saw the Swiss documentary “More Than Honey” I am really hesitant to buy almonds and therefore also almond milk!!),…. I do use all of these but I try to seldomly, though I think they taste so good!!! Would be cool to have your book translated into German so I could recommend it to people here! I’m a thousand times better with e-mail so if you could answer there I would be oh so grateful!!!

I can’t wait to find this book in my local bookstore! I love making smoothies in the morning, but my food processor has issues with ice cubes sometimes. ๐ None the less, I can’t wait to see your recipes!

My pre-ordered copy has arrived today!!! It’s such a fabulous book, with the photos on every page and the colour coding for each chapter. The chickpea omelet recipe looks really tasty, and my favourite dip, your artichoke spinach dip, that I always make when me and hubby watch the All Blacks rugby games, is in there too! โบ Its getting cold here in little NZ so the soups and smoky bean chilli look mighty good! Am off to get some ingredients! Well done Dreena, another truly fabulous book made by you! I hope the book signing went well at meeT. Xx

Thanks ever so much, Cassandra! It means a lot to know my readers love the initial feel and look of the book, and are excited to try the recipes. Just the best. ๐ If you are able to leave a few good words on amazon once you’ve tried some of the recipes, would be super helpful. Here’s the link: amzn.to/10IGA6J If you’re not comfortable doing so, that’s totally fine too. Enjoy the book, happy cooking!!

Congratulations on your new book, Dreena! I’ve got three small kiddos at home and have been looking forward to PPF for months! We’ve already made the Creamy Fettuccine, the chocolate chia pudding, the Crazy Brownies, and the chocolate chip cookies (funny how dessert seems to be a top priority around here!) with two thumbs up all around! I was wondering if you recommend any brand of Popsicle molds? Summer is just around the corner! Thanks again. ๐
Dreena says
Thanks Sarie! I can relate to your kiddos’ recipe choices. ๐
I love these popsicles molds: http://amzn.to/1IDYv2A They are easy to fill/use, with individual molds and they are BPA-free. There are a few other similar brands on amazon.
Hope that helps!

Like I always say: You are a vegan genius!! Congratulation on this beautiful new book. I love and cherish your other books and have been so blessed by your recipes. With 4 grown children of my own, I know the power of setting a Beautiful, Healthy, Happy example for my family. You are such an inspiration and I thank you so much!!

I forgot to ask, do you know how to prevent chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom on cakes? I used a mixture chocolate chunks and dried cherries and they all pretty much sunk to the bottom of the banana bread. Still delicious though! Thanks, Dreena!
Tiffany says
Congratulations, Dreena! I absolutely adore this book and the pre-order ebook!
I made the banana bread cake from the ebook yesterday. So delicious!! I made it in a loaf tin and baked it longer. This recipe is my new favorite banana bread!
I also finally made the smoky sweet potato and black bean salad from LTEV. I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to make it! This salad is amazing. The flavors are just beautiful.
I am hoping to make the sunflower artichoke burgers from Plant powered families tonight.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your delicious and healthful recipes!! xoxo Congratulations, again!!
Dreena says
So pleased to read this, Tiffany! I think you’ll love the burgers – do let me know. Thanks for your loveliness.
Re the chocolate chips, couple of things you can try (and great Q!)… try the smaller chips, like the Enjoy Life brand, they can distribute a little better… and pour a little of the batter into the pan/dish first, then stir the chips into the remaining batter, then transfer the remaining batter into the pan. That way there are more chips in the upper portion of the batter if they start to settle down.
