Hi friends! A brief – but exciting – post today!
I’ve been working with some talented people for a number of months to create my new logo and website design.
What do you think of our new plant-powered kitchen?
This plant-powered kitchen site needed some updating. There were some buggy things in the background, and with the archived recipes. Many of you reached out to me about the lag with loading recipes. It was due to the recipe software template that was on my site, and that is now fully removed – hallelu!
You’ll find the recipes page more streamlined and easy to navigate. I’ve also changed my site name to dreenaburton.com. You can still use plantpoweredkitchen.com, it will simply redirect either way.
All in all, a tidy little reno to start this new year for our plant-powered kitchen, don’t you think?

Hey there, Dreena, I love the new design! Your logo and tag line are a lovely expression of you. I know the ads are a must right now, but do you have any control of what the ads are for? I was just looking at your recipe (love, love, love the new page) for Curried Chickpea Hummus (I’m making it tomorrow!) and there was an ad for “healthy” recipes/food that included a photo of animal protein :(. That aside, congratulations! You and your team created a beautiful site (and I can’t wait for your new cookbook with Dr. B!) <3

I don’t ever want to say anything negative about anything that you do. I have to agree that the color of the type is difficult to read. I think the color is very pretty but not good for reading. The recipe page looks good. The biggest problem that I am having is that there are SO many ads that keep popping up on your site. It is super distracting and unpleasant. I am writing this with love so please consider it to be constructive and not critical. xoxo

Hi Angie, I welcome the feedback. I’m working on the font issue now, since it’s been noted by a few. I would love to reduce or eliminate the ads. However, they are essential for me to cover the costs of running this site, my mailing list, and simply my work. I hope to reach a point where I don’t need them. Thx.
