UPDATE: Contest now closed, winners being chosen! ๐
Hi friends! Since I’ve returned from Summerfest I have been testing new recipes something fierce (actually, was doing the same before I left too). In fact, I am testing new things so often that I rarely get time to sit and format the recipes and share them with you.
And, I want to post with photos… and it takes me FOREVER to get a proper food photo with our schedules with the girls and simply keeping up with being a mom.
So, here’s the thing. I’m buying some time before I post again – at least a few days. Time to get some recipes formatted, and start this plant-powered kids’ series! I figure a cookbook giveaway does the trick… right? ๐

I am giving away TWO copies of LTEV… and TWO copies of ed&bv! That’s four winners, so your chances are good here to snag a new cookbook! (and if you already have one or the other and want to choose one of my other cookbooks, can do!)
To enter:
1) Comment on THIS post. How about you share your favorite bean!
2) To grab a second entry, follow me on twitter (if you haven’t already) and retweet this post OR “like” my facebook page (if you haven’t already) and share the status update that links to this post. (I will see who shares the post through facebook) ***UPDATE: I will track those that have already shared on facebook and twitter, but if you can, please come back and comment a second time on this post with “tweet” or “facebook” as your names here and on twitter/fb may differ!
Contest open to residents of Canada and the US. I will draw the winner once I get out of the kitchen. ๐

Hmmm, tough question…but since I, too, hope to win a copy of EDBV, I will say Black Eyes Peas, in honor of my southern husband who looooooves them…he likes a good ford hook lima bean, too, so I’ll toss those in for good measure ๐ Enjoy your time in the kitchen, Dreena!

I love all beans except black eyed peas – my favourite way to eat them is in a burrito – I can eat them everyday – and come close to that. I keep a can of beans in my car as part of my “emergency” food kit for when I find myself somewhere that for whatever reason cant (maybe won’t ) do vegan.

I am in love with the chickpea/garbanzo bean. And would LOVE a copy of ed&bv. I am currently working my way thru LTEV and LOVE it! I put some of your cashew pesto spread on my veggie burger tonight and it was delicous!!

Hmmm, do lentils count?! Haha. Or kidney beans maybe.

Ooo, tough call bc I love all beans but if I really had to choose then I think adzuki wins ๐
