UPDATE: Contest now closed, winners being chosen! ๐
Hi friends! Since I’ve returned from Summerfest I have been testing new recipes something fierce (actually, was doing the same before I left too). In fact, I am testing new things so often that I rarely get time to sit and format the recipes and share them with you.
And, I want to post with photos… and it takes me FOREVER to get a proper food photo with our schedules with the girls and simply keeping up with being a mom.
So, here’s the thing. I’m buying some time before I post again – at least a few days. Time to get some recipes formatted, and start this plant-powered kids’ series! I figure a cookbook giveaway does the trick… right? ๐

I am giving away TWO copies of LTEV… and TWO copies of ed&bv! That’s four winners, so your chances are good here to snag a new cookbook! (and if you already have one or the other and want to choose one of my other cookbooks, can do!)
To enter:
1) Comment on THIS post. How about you share your favorite bean!
2) To grab a second entry, follow me on twitter (if you haven’t already) and retweet this post OR “like” my facebook page (if you haven’t already) and share the status update that links to this post. (I will see who shares the post through facebook) ***UPDATE: I will track those that have already shared on facebook and twitter, but if you can, please come back and comment a second time on this post with “tweet” or “facebook” as your names here and on twitter/fb may differ!
Contest open to residents of Canada and the US. I will draw the winner once I get out of the kitchen. ๐

I already have ed&bv and LTEV and I absolutely adore them!! I would love to receive The Everyday Vegan or Vive le Vegan because I am sure I would also fall in love with those recipes… ๐
As for beans, I love them all, although I do have a special sentimental attachment to the chickpea. My parents used to bring me to lebanese restaurants all the time when I was little and I always loved hummus…and then my family went to live in North Africa for a while, so chickpeas make me smile because they remind me of my childhood and because they’re so versatile and delicious!
Keeping my fingers crossed ’cause I really want to win your book!!

I would love to win a copy of any one of your cookbooks! I love making chickpea cutlets or hummus with garbanzo beans. They’re my absolute favorite! Lima beans are a close runner-up. Come to think of it, there’s really not a bean that I don’t like!

We love all kinds here, but I will say my fave is white beans because one of my favorite recipes is a white bean soup with fennel. It is so delicious.

Hi Dreena,
I just wanted to say thank you for all of the great recipes and veg-inspiration you have posted here! We have been focusing on eating more of a plant-based diet, and had a yummy salad with chickpeas today. I think chickpeas and lentils are my favorite, although we are still getting the hang of making hummus. I plan on purchasing one of your cookbooks soon! Thank you!

My favorite is probably chickpeas with black beans running a close second. Falafel and hummus are two of my faves! I just made Cuban black beans for dinner tonight. Yum. I already like you on Facebook and I don’t do Twitter. I don’t own either of those books so I’d be happy winning either of them!
