Today is the official release of Plant-Powered Families! I’ve made a brief video to talk about the book, and also to thank you for your ongoing support.
Few notes from the video:
- Book signing at MeeT this weekend – with door prizes and food samples!
- If you are loving Plant-Powered Families, a few words to share your positive review on amazon would be much appreciated.
- Giveaways and blog reviews coming up, stay tuned!
- Plant-Powered and “weegan” tees now available.
I’ll keep it short today. I have a whole lotta’ house to clean up here. Been a busy week with wee girl’s birthday party and getting ready to for the book launch.
My gratitude, once again, to all of you for your support and community over the years. And, my thanks to the incredible team at BenBella Books for helping me bring this book to print. <3

Dear Dreena, thank you for the book and easy recipes for kids as we have four on plant-based diet for the last two years! It is a great help as we are very busy family – outdoor sports and always trying to pack our own food . Just to mention, I tried your delicious french toast recipe, and yes you were right – it is a sticky event , so in the middle of my struggle I decided to broil them in the oven. They came out really great!

My Hausband AND I borrowed Forks Over Knives from our local Library here in Austria, Europe Last Week and, though we already barely ever have meat we are big in dairy and the movie made us aware of the dangers! We had noticed in the past that our now nine year old often started having a hard time hearing in winter when she had cow milk and I also stopped consuming cow milk two about two years ago while nursing our youngest because of his sensitive skin and I just happened to notice how much better his skin was when I left out cow milk. Well, with four kids and eating quite whole food and healthy really most of the time, I stumbled upon your site via Pinterest and also realized this new book is by you. I really need Go- to recipes. Do they use lots of local products? Local and seasonal is important to me as far as possible…. That is my problem with going totally vegan because of all the exotic things like bananas, coconut, agave, avocados, dates, even many nuts (and since I saw the Swiss documentary “More Than Honey” I am really hesitant to buy almonds and therefore also almond milk!!),…. I do use all of these but I try to seldomly, though I think they taste so good!!! Would be cool to have your book translated into German so I could recommend it to people here! I’m a thousand times better with e-mail so if you could answer there I would be oh so grateful!!!
