After a successful and JOYOUS winter session, doors are now open for my SPRING JOY Club.
Get ready to feel BETTER in your body. At 52 my body feels like it’s 30 again.
But it wasn’t always this way.
SPRING Joy Club: Why?
I’ve been eating plant-based for 25 years. And my body felt great…
until my 40s. I started to have nagging pains in my neck, shoulder, and SI joint. It felt like all the cooking and other repetitive movements were taking a toll on my body.
And no amount of kale or turmeric helped. 😉
The pain became very irritating, and activities that I loved made it worse – including cooking.
So I tried many supplements to address the pain. None helped.
So I turned to professionals for my pain management: mostly chiropractic, prolotherapy, and physiotherapy. Prolotherapy helped the most – but after a few weeks, the pains came back.
The Shift
Last spring I found this new form of movement. Note: NOT yoga. I enjoy yoga, but it’s not yoga.
This movement (which creates healthy fascia) was a learning curve, and I didn’t know if it was doing much but something told me to stick with it. I’m so glad I did. After the first month, I noticed significant shifts. Sustainable shifts.
Now, my body feels light and free again, my joints don’t hurt.
I haven’t had prolotherapy since May. I’ve had one chiropractic visit and my chiropractor asked what I was doing.
With my renewed joyous physicality, I immersed myself in learning, and have taken three training courses to be able to share this with you.
Because I want you to feel good in your body too. Here’s how we do it: Dreena’s JOY Club!
My JOY Club runs seasonally, as the movement and recipes will be aligned with the seasons as outlined in Chinese Medicine (more on that below).
Spring Joy Club, Part 1: Change Your Fascia classes
When you take care of your fascia, it will take care of you. Because when you change your fascia through engaged movement, it allows the muscles to move freely, instead of pulling on attachments and stressing the joints. We also enjoy a better flow of energy through the body. Less pain, more joy!
The majority of our JOY classes will be these classes to change your fascia. Classes will be live, as I interact with members to check forms. If you cannot make live classes, the recordings will be sent out to you (also for practice).
This work is powerful, and hard to explain but profound to experience. Try this short exercise:
You see, fascia is an interconnected webbing that permeates EVERYTHING in our bodies: muscles, nerves, bones, and joints. When you have healthy fascia, things run smoothly. But when it’s dense, accumulated, and dysfunctional? We have reduced range of motion, stiffness, & pain.
Our practices will transform your dysfunctional fascia into flexible, functional, healthy fascia. The result? More mobility, better circulation, improved organ functions, reduced (or no!) pain.
Spring Joy Club, part 2: YIN
Every month we will enjoy some yin practices, also concomitant with the organs/seasons in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Why?
Our fascia-changing sessions are very “yang”. You will feel your body heat up, you will build muscle, and you will even get a cardio response.
Our yin sessions (once a month) will bring the balance, the “yin” into our life, nourishing the nervous system amongst other benefits.

Spring Joy Club, part 3: nutrition & recipes
Our practice is most effective when supported by good nutrition. Our bodies’ tissues rebound more quickly and our bodies respond better when we are well nourished. Healthy fascia needs good nutrition.
This includes consuming more whole plant foods, less processed foods, more organic foods, and clean water.
Moreover, we can finesse our diets to include more foods and food preparation that are in alignment with the seasons in Chinese Medicine.
In the Spring JOY Club, you will receive an ebook that I have curated with over 30 recipes and some food guidelines for this time of year.
JOY CLUB Testimonials
As we did the exercises, I felt release. All that tightness! This morning I woke at 4:30, rolled over onto my side and was amazed at the feeling of freedom in my upper back. I dozed off for a couple more hours of great sleep. Moving around today it feels like my shoulders are inches lower and my arms are longer. -April
I actually never thought of myself as someone that had much for tightness or pain in my body. It wasn’t until after I did the movements with you that I realized my own tightness and aches were gone! I hadn’t even realized they were there. My lower body has now been begging for its own treatment all day. -Sherri

Hi Dreena,
I am interested in the Spring Joy club, but was wondering if the Fascia classes and Yin classes are safe for a person diagnosed with osteoporosis? or if there are adaptations?
Thank you.

Hi Paul, my short answer is a definite yes. Both will be very beneficial for you. I offer different versions of the movements in each class as well. I’m going to email you with a little more detail. -Dreena
