So I planned to post this giveaway last week, as a follow-up to my Mother’s Day recipes. You know that saying “your eyes are bigger than your stomach”? … Well, I guess my plans were bigger than my presence.
With the official release of my book, and preparing for my book signing (photos coming), fitting in a blog post was far too much for this author/mama-of-three last week. I think it’s for the best anyhow. Because us mamas should have more than one day a year to be acknowledged for all that we do! Right? I say we celebrate ourselves every month. Let’s start with a chance to win a Blendtec!
You guys know I love my Blendtec. I’ve talked about it many, many times. In Plant-Powered Families, I make a lot of use of both my Blendtec and food processor. Prepping family meals is a great deal easier with these appliances, and I use my Blendtec the most. Every day. Often 2-3 times a day. Green smoothies in the wildside every morning for the family. Later, I often use the wildside again for sauce mixes (like Mac-Oh Geez or Creamy Fettucine from PPF), or I use the twister jar for all sorts of blends like salad dressings, chia puddings, vegan cheese blends and more.
Blendtec is helping me celebrate the release of Plant-Powered Families by providing one of you with an incredible prize… a Designer 725 blender and the Twister Jar!
Thank you Blendtec for providing this prize to one of my very lucky readers. Enter below, kids!

I would absolutely love to win this BlendTec for my daughter!!! She cooks, prepares and bakes All the Food for my 5 yr granddaughter!! Lucy has numerous and severe allergies to so many foods. Her allergist says she is One in a Million in severity and number of food allergies. But my daughter is very creative in making her what ends up being a mostly Plant-Based diet. No nuts, dairy and many other foods! They have their first garden this year which is exciting! My daughter makes Smoothies, many types of hummus, does ongoing baking, and this special prize would be so very welcomed in the kitchen of parents who spend so much time each day making healthy and safe foods for Lucy!! This is a little girl who cannot eat anything from a restaurant due to risk of contamination of even the slightest food she is allergic to! I am so proud of the healthy foods they make for my granddaughter!! Regular blenders just don’t handle the workload!! This would make their life in the kitchen much less of a struggle! 🙂 Thanks, Dreena, for being such an amazing Plant-Powered role model and Mama!! You have deeply inspired me as well as my daughter in the Kitchen! XO

Congratulations on your new book launch! I hope every vegan family is inspired by it – and that it inspires many more families to go vegan! 🙂
We’ve been wanting a BlendTec for a gazillion years, but in our resolve not to acquire more belongings we swore we wouldn’t get one until our 10-year old Waring blender finally crapped out beyond repair. So of course, it appears to be immortal. I think we’d happily waive our self-imposed minimalist rule if we won a BlendTec, however! 🙂 Heading into summer, we’d mainly use ti to whip up fruit and veggie smoothies, hummus and other dips & spreads, and some homemade nut milks, and that yummy looking fettucine Alfredo sauce. By fall, though, it’ll be soup time!
Thanks for sharing some of your recipes via your fellow bloggers, putting out a great vegan cookbook, and giving us an opportunity to win a BlendTec!

I’ve been hankering to get my hands on one of these. I have a Vitamix and I love the power, but the plunger doesn’t work well. I love the look of the Blendtec plunger.
